The Hebrides have a rich history of migrant settlers from all over Europe and Scandinavia. Consequently the heritage of the islands includes Pictish, Viking, Celt and Gaelic traditions. Each has produced a wealth of distinctive art and jewellery.

Eilean Òir have not slavishly reproduced those designs, but have drawn on them for inspiration.
